removed as profile manager

Question

I just noticed a number of ancestor profiles I created and shared with another manager now only have the other descendant as manager.  I did a great deal of research on these relatives, and am mostly responsible for their profiles, including photos.  I do not recall removing myself, and don't know how I am no longer manager for the profiles while another manager remains.  I'd like to be added back, but would have to ask the current manager for each case individually.  Is there a way to bulk request/adopt profiles in order to get them back?

Well, you're not on the trusted list for Jamest either. so it's likely not a result of the merge a while back.  Usually it's a lack of communication with people wanting access or trying to merge which results in opening a profile or having a person removed from being a profile manager.  Are you receiving and responding to requests?  I notice you hadn't made any changes in this profile in over a year.  Have you changed e-mails the past year?  If so you may not have gotten requests and not realized it. I notice there were about a dozen rejected merges from 2012 so that may have something to do with it.

I am finding many profiles that I either created or spent a great deal of time editing have my name removed.  If an email comes to my regular email address, I do answer it.  I've had problems with the internet for some time, but I am feeling shut out of my own work on wikitree now.  As to 2012, I was very involved with wikitree and you can see that I made thousands of contributions.  Only in 2014, when my father died did I have to slow down my participation because I am his trustee.  But, it is only until the estate is settled.  I have communicated with one of the profile managers, and he wrote me back he had difficulty getting into the profile himself.  I have made over 47,000 contributions - must I reach every manager?  Surely, there is another way.

Sorry, I'm getting back to this so late.  I did reject a number of merge requests that came to me.  Most of them were clearly bad merges and were proposed probably due to a name search.  In the Livingston families, there are traditional first names, and in Scotland near 17th century, two branches emerged with similar names, but different parts of the country. One branch became nobility, while the other branch did not.  In one case, children attributed to a father are by DNA shown not to be his.  Special care is needed when this happens.  A name is not enough.

First, communicate with the other person on their profile page about wanting to work together. If they don't reply to that, send them a PM just to open up communication. You can request that they add you to the trusted list for profiles they manage using the bulk tool:
