She is named in the birth record of her daughter Phyllis:

Apart from a visit to my grandparents in Bermuda in 1934, nothing much is known about James Frederick Noakes after he left his ship in Quebec in 1907 (signed on in the Royal Navy in 1905 for 12 years)

Is this the Madeline Noakes who died in November 1947? Her birthdate appears to have been March 26, according to my grandmother's birthday book.

But where did she come from?
All the records indicate that this is the same person. I posted them to her profile. The records also indicate a visit to Bermuda. Two census records say she was born in Scotland & immigrated in 1899.
