Hi Robert,

After you get a profile created for Wellington (he does not yet have one on WikiTree) then you can continue to add his ancestors until you connect to an existing branch of Swift(s).  Then you should be able to use the Relationship Finder tool to see any recorded relations to Taylor.

I'll add a link to your post that connects it to her profile... that way anyone who is dialed in to her or that goes to her profile in the future can be aware of your question.

Cheers!

Hi Robert,

I tried digging deeper for you.  Turns out there were several Wellington(s) and dozens of "Robert Owen Swift(s)" so I'm unable to determine which line is yours without more information.

If you know more about Wellington that would help.  Details such as possible birth date, death, marriage, spouse, where he might have lived or been buried... these would all be useful.  Any insight could be the key to unlock the next answer.

You can post what you know here so I and others can use it to help solve your mystery.

Dear Robert,

On your profile page at the top right is a tab labeled FIND.  Put your cursor there for a drop-down menu.  You will see RELATIONSHIPS there - click on that.

You will see two boxes, one with your profile ID = SWIFT-1688 in it.  Fill in Taylor SWIFT-1298 in the other box, then click the big green FIND RELATIONSHIP bar.   Then you will see the results.

Have fun!  -NGP

It's kind of an amalgam of the two suggestions. This IS the correct way to check relationships on WikiTree. You need to add more ancestors though, until there's enough data to make the connection.
