Naming standards when name is not known

This is just a reminder that WikiTree naming conventions state when a name (given or surname) is not known the preferred alternative is "Unknown." Please do not use such variants as -- unk, not sure, unnamed, unknownsurname, Lnu, NN, unknown-"something"

Also PLEASE do not use non-alphabetical characters such as -, --, ---, ...

Profiles cannot be edited when these characters appear in a name field.

Simplify the lives of all WikiTree researchers by changing such non-standard names to the preferred "Unknown." It will be much appreciated.

Profiles cannot be created as Unknown or changed to Unknown as of last night some time. See thread http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/233732/i-ve-never-seen-this-error-message-before-

I'm the Leader for the Unknowns Project.
Thank You Shirley for providing this info. Obviously some project members are not understanding  the info about married women. Or contacting profile managers. Example Croxon-18.
