How to set up a Haviland EuroAristocrat project?

I have an ancestral line on the de Havillands of Guernsey Island (between France & Britain) that goes back into the 1400s. The life of the line's patriarch, Sir Thomas de Havilland (c1415-1480), is well-documented in many historical books. There is also a http://havilands.org website which purportedly is meant to be the central source point for all people of the de Havillands line.

Many of the de Havillands in my line, including Sir Thomas, have been added to wikitree.com, although most have poor source documentation and deviate from wikitree / EuroAristocrats formatting standards (eg, 'De Havilland', 'DeHavilland', 'Havilland' are all mixed throughout the profiles). Surprisingly (to me, anyway), this line is not represented in the EuroAristocrats super-project?

I would like to see this line enacted as a subproject of the EuroAristocrats super-project, and I am happy to take a lead in this (and work with anyone else who might be similarly interested). But I am not sure how to initiate this effort?

Thanks!

Hi Stuart,

The EuroAristo project doesn't have 'sub-projects' of specific familial lines.  It is sub-divided into five sub-projects, based on timeframes and locations; see this page for information on the 'parent' project (as I call it) and the subs:  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:European_Aristocrats

Within the EuroAristo projects, we use categories for the various 'houses'.  See here:  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:European_Noble_Houses

We would ask you to work with the project leaders to set up (so it's done correctly) the category and have it appear on profiles.

It is very much appreciated that you have identified a number of profiles that don't adhere to the EuroAristo naming standards.  You can add the following to the profiles that you come across so that members of the project will know a correction is needed.  To do that, you put the following into the biography section of the profile:  [[Category:EuroAristo - Profiles with incorrect LNAB]]  You also can post on the profile about the name being incorrect so that the profile manager is made aware of it.

Hi Stuart.

Could you drop me a note please.  Is your interest in the de Havillands of Guernsey only or a more generic family study on Haviland?

One way to get started would be to create a
