Military - US Army 1854 - correct category?

Question

re:  Frantz Metzler-286  found his Enlistment July 1854 in New York,  all info matches so I believe I placed the military under the correct "Category" but it just looks out of place?   this is my first  Pre-Civil War..  He also served during the Civil War in 2 states.  If you could take a look and let me know. It looks good but placing him in Category:US Army, an upper level category is redundant in that his units are subcats of US Army so he is already in that category. This is following the category guidelines of placing profiles in the lowest known category.  In this case, the units instead of the inclusive upper category.
