Birthdates NOT imported from into GEDcompare birthdate field

+7 votes
Some birthates imported from are not showing up in the GEDcompare file.  The raw data shows the birth and death dates but in the GEDcompare file column the  date is empty?  Some of them show up correctly but others are not there.  Must be format problem coming from Ancestry, but WHAT?  Can i edit the gedcompare file?

Hi Gerard,

This is for <>?

It would surprise if the Ancestry-exported dates weren't formatted in a conventional way. Can you give me a couple examples of people with dates in your raw file whose don't appear to have them on GEDCompare?

You won't be able to edit anything in GEDCompare.

I have looked at the actual entries in ancestry and it appears that any date format which has a numerical month does not appear in the date of the GED if it is spelled out april may etc they are picked up as dates by wikitree.   Am exploring a bit more but this appears to be the case.
OK - There is just too much to make this file correct - I am going to start over - can I delete the original GED file or just wait till it expires?
Hi Gerard. I deleted it for you.
I edited the ancestry file in ancestry with the info i know is correct changing all month dates to only alphabetic and have downloaded  that file again - will see if that makes a difference, which i feel will.
