I have been away from site for a while. How do I begin with a family tree?

The initial email from Wiki Tree has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, 

First however, you have to complete the process (stated in the very first email.) You have to "volunteer" , sign the Honor code, and select some tags you want to follow, like last names of ancestors or locations of where they live or lived. All that is in the inital email.

On  your profile, enter all the known facts about your father and mother, including their other children.

Then do the same for them, enter their parents, Keep going, as far as you can.

Eventually you will encounter a match for some. Don't enter them write the profile manager and ask to be put on their Trusted List so you can add them as your ancestors.
