Problem creating a profile

Question

I have filled in the blanks for to create a profile & have pressed "add child for..." but the profile does not save.  The first time I thought maybe I only thought I pressed add but the 2nd time I am positive.   I have a birth date, death date, first & last name, gender, etc.  All the required fields

yep.  did that about 50 times.  Still nothing.  

I simply tried again using "add child" & starting from scratch & it worked.  Weird why it didn't work before.  I tried it several times over the last hour or so.  Refreshing the browser many times.  Oh well.  It worked this time.

Your internet browser may also be full. If you are using Windows XP it is obsolete now & 16 years old :) Could you Vote my previous answer up Please? Thanks, John

Do you mean browser cache, JV? The above problem has happened to me once or twice before and my browser cache is cleared out regularly. I am on IE7.

Refreshing the add form might have actually been the source of the problem. Or maybe you clicked "Back" in your browser to return to the add form after adding another person or starting but not completing the form? Either of these could clear security and tracking information that's kept in the background.

I had the add form & the parents profile both open.  I hit add & it went straight back to the form.  I headed over to the parents profile, refreshed that to see if the child had been added. Then went back to the add form to refresh it when the child wasn't added.  After I tried again to add the same individual with a new add page, it worked fine & I didn't have any more problems.

I use google chrome as my browser.

Glad I'm not the only one it's happened too.  At least now I know it's not just me :-)
