Editing Profiles; what do you do with LDS content?

Hope I picked the right category for this question. I have adopted profiles that include LDS content from the original profile manger(s). What do you do with this content when editing the profiles? It means nothing at all to me, and it tends to create a long profile. But, it must mean something to someone. Do you just leave it alone?

I delete it but include a link to the relevant FamilySearch Family Tree profile for that person so that the LDS work can be viewed by any LDS member who is interested. You have to be an LDS member to see those sections of a profile in the FamilySearch Family Tree.

Thanks for this info, Rosemary. I've wondered what to do with that information myself.
Thank you Rosemary.

One thing I'll mention is to just check the dates on the LDS content.  For some individuals the baptism took place during the person's lifetime, just as though they were Catholic or Baptist, etc, so it's relevant to the individual and their biography.

True - those I might keep. However, posthumous baptisms, no.
Exactly :)
I'm glad you confirmed this information Eowyn.  I have been looking for the answer since I have been feeling slightly guilty for deleting posthumous information.  Now I feel better :)

Jeanie,

You might also want to check out this page:

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/GEDCOM-created_biographies

Most of those LDS lines are from old GEDCOM-created profiles. The page above says what you can do with those and other data that comes in from old uploaded GEDCOMs. (More recent GEDCOM uploads are cleaner, but there are still a SLEW of old, messy ones still around.)
