I know for sure that I am related to the comstocks but I can't find a name I recognize to trace from. I'm looking to find Jim Comstock. His wife is Jessie James Comstock. Jim died quite a while ago. I do know for sure though that I am related to him and that would help me to trace my history back.

A few more facts would help.  Do you have any dates (birth, death or marriage)?  Also is the "James" in Jessie James Comstock her middle name or maiden name?  Finally where did they live (state or country)?
Jessie's middle name is James

Here's one possibility.  There is a family consisting of James Comstock 67, wife Jessie 46 and a son  David Comstock 36 in the 1910 census for Trenton, Delaware, Ohio, USA .(District 57 page 16)  They were all born in Ohio and James and Jessie had been married for 1 year (second marriage for both).  Jessie is listed as having 3 children all living.  David is obviously James' son but not Jessie's.  If this might connect to you, I'll try chasing backward.

Meanwhile if you're interested in joining WikiTree (no cost except blood, sweat and tears) it would allow you to enter your family tree with whatever degree of privacy you require..

Hi. Jim Comstock was my uncle. Jessie still is in Ludington. I know Elizabeth (Beth) Comstock who has a daughter Raelynn does have our family tree somewhere. I've been having a hard time finding information as well though.

Ok I found the obituary for Jim Comstock. His legal name is James Dale Comstock wife Jessie James Comstock. He was Born June 1, 1943 and died September 14, 2012. I found the obituary online. I only knew my uncle as Jim but after reading the obituary recognized the names of two of his grandchildren and I knew his wife's full name right away so this should be a useful lead for you.

All the Comstock hail from Frost New London CT when William first came over. They then split up you can find a lot of them buried Lakeview New Canaan CT. They also settle in Norwalk CT.

Family Search is a great free geology site to find infomation on.

This sight also has good info going back to William. Hope it helps.
