Looking for parents of Clarissa (Dickinson) Rutty (b. 1794 d. 1876)

Question

I'm trying to clean up my profile for Clarissa (Dickinson) Rutty (Rutty-40). I learned today I probably don't have the correct parents for her. US census records say she was born in Connecticut in 1794 but familysearch files say she was born in New York. I currently have Asa Rutty as her father but I realized Asa's daughter Clarissa died at age 2 in 1792 .

Clarissa Rutty married Jonathan Dickinson in Haddam, CT where they lived for about 40 years and had two children Catherine and Jane Dickinson.

I think Clarissa must be related to Edward Rutty (Rutty-2) born in Milford, CT in 1651 but the connection is elusive.

According to Descendants of Nathaniel Dickinson 3rd Edition (2006) ; page 406, Clarisa Rutty was born in NEW YORK 1794, She died Haddam CT 28 July 1876 and is buried at Shailerville Cemetery in Haddam. Info on Jonathan Dickinson is b. 1 Jan 1792 East Haddam CT, d 16 Mar 1861 Haddam CT
