To duplicate or not to duplicate? [closed]

The privacy demon has raised his head again. While doing an ancestor tree for my Granddaughter I found that one ancestor on her fathers line is on here and has no profile manager. The problem is it is set to Private with public biography and family tree so I can not adopt it. I do not want to create a duplicate and will not for now but there should be an easier way for someone to fix a problem like this. I did adopt all of the others in this line for now. but I hope that this one for a person ho is deceased is not eliminated because it will create a hole in her ancestor line.

Someone will open it up for you I hope.
Hi, Dale --

A sysop is going to have to take care of that one for you. I added the "sysops" tag to your question. They'll probably catch it sometime tomorrow.

Good night!

Julie

Put your pointer on help and click mentor and ask one to help set you as manager of the profile. It best not to create duplicate profiles but when done they need to be merged if it is found to be the same person.

David, Thank You for trying to help but the sad truth Mentors can do nothing in this case. There are only a very few on WikiTree who can add someone as a manager to a private profile and then only if you are related to the person the profile is for.
