Why aren't categories listed in the contributions?

Question

I created some categories today.  I needed to add some information so I looked in my contributions.  I was surprised that category contributions are not enumerated.  

Can this be fixed?  This has nothing to do with badges.  I can see they are counted towards badges (and I don't care either way).  It was a little of a pain to not get there directly.

Everything in the bio edit box is just text so a category isn't seen any differently when you make an edit. A fairly easy way to track would be to paste the category name in the reason for changes field before saving. Then when you look at your contributions you'll see them.

Unless you explicitly state what your change is in the explain box, it will say only "You edited the biography for Jane Doe."

Even if you add text you will not see it on Special:Contributions&who=Wiggins-127 which is the list I call the contribution list.....

Yes, you will. Anything I type in "Explain your changes," shows up on the list.

Here's an example from my list:  23:24: You edited the Biography for Daniel Huff. (Corrected hot link to Pike-1141)
