I sourced an unsourced and adopted it. Now what?

I adopted and sourced an unsourced profile an am continuing to work on it, adding children, etc. but once I'm "done," do I release it back to orphaned or what? I'm not related to this person at all.

Also, there was a son who died at age 4, so I added him and sourced it all. This is my first attempt at completely writing a bio/sourcing. Any comments/suggestions to this would help SO MUCH. I uploaded gedcoms and must go through my entire tree to standardize from the ancestry.com sources.

I'm a fast learner, so I'll catch on. :-)

Hi Natalie... pleasure to meet you :)

Wow.  Fast learner is an understatement.  I think you did an outstanding job and am very impressed.  We need all the people like you we can get.

Thanks for working those profiles!
If they are open profiles to start with, you can source them without adopting them, if you don't want a bunch of unrelated profiles on your watchlist.

I will reiterate Keith's comments. You picked up on inline references (those <ref></ref> things) real fast.

If you're going to be working on the multitude of unsourced profiles, consider joining the Sourcerer's Challenge each month

The inlines...I learned by messing around wth my own profile until I understood it! I use mine as a guinea pig a lot!
Thank you. Good to know I am heading in the right direction!
Anne I will participate in Sourcer's some day. Still learning and I must fix all of the sources from importing 3 GEDCOM files from ancestry. MESS!

If you keep it, it will be on your personal watchlist. There's no harm in releasing it.

Thanks!
When you release it, it might still come up in your watch list as you will still be on the trusted list. If you don't want it coming up in your watchlist, then take yourself off the trusted list.
Good call!
Got it! Thanks!
