I am new to DNA testing and wanted to know when we will be able to upload the Family Tree DNA info to the GEDmatch site?

Thanks.

Note: The issues between FTDNA and Gedmatch.com that prevented data uploading in Spring 2016 have been resolved.

I think you have the wrong site. You should ask this on the GEDMATCH site or on the Family Tree DNA site. WikiTree doesn't have your DNA, just the Haplogroups and the kit numbers.

Gedmatch indicates they are ready to upload the FTDNA data in a new format specified by FTDNA but FTDNA has not as of yet, made the new download format available.

Register at https://www.gedmatch.com/login1.php

and follow GEDmatch's instructions to upload Family Tree DNA's Family Finder results to GEDmatch.  Then enter your GEDmatch ID on your DNA Tests page in WikiTree.

The answer is, we don't know yet, but it should be soon!  FTDNA is making some changes to the format of their raw DNA downloads.  The ball's in FTDNA's court now.

If you don't want to wait, you can use this tool to convert your FTDNA results to 23andMe format and then upload to GEDMatch:

April 4th message at GEDmatch says:

We anticipate that barring technical difficulties, we will resume uploading of FTDNA kits by Friday 8 April. Changing kit numbers for previously uploaded FTDNA kits will take weeks longer but we do not have an anticipated date.

If no one has discovered it yet, there is DNA.land.com. They will take your raw DNA file and convert it to 23andme format so you can go to other sites with your 23andme formatted file.- free! It does other cool things too, I really like it, but because it's new, there aren't a lot of folks who have uploaded, so the family matching database is small. I only have 3 matches kind of small. Only way it will grow is to upload. You help science too, I guess. If you are all paranoid about the government and people stealing your genetic identity, then, maybe not the best for you. Same goes for GEDmatch. On a more serious note, DNA.land does the same things GEDmatch does, only it seems a little more user friendly.

At DNA.Land you can see who you match, but I can't see who you match. At GEDmatch I can see how you match others.
