Not a question but possibly a little bragging.

I know it is not nice to brag but I can't resist this one. My Granddaughter needed a "family tree" for a project and told Mommy "Don;t worry Papa will help when he is here for Easter". When we started Saturday afternoon only her father was on here for that side of the family but when we left this morning I had his side back to at least his Great Grandparents and on some lines we can go back to the early 1600's. I can not take credit for all of this because there were a few profiles already on here that just needed to be connected. Needless to say my Granddaughter was very pleased with what we did, and yes she helped because I made her interview her other grandparents so that we had the information we needed to go further back in time.

In my spare time I found and photographed some other information that my daughter had that will help add to some other profiles I manage, after I recover from the 9 and a half hour car ride today.

That's great, Dale!
Great work. Nine and a half hours is a long car ride. Take a train next time.

Betty
And congratulations on reaching 500k on g2g.
Dale, Hats off to you & your grand daughter. Is ok to brag about our Grands. I hope she earns an "A'  / 4.0 (IDK how they grade in schools these days). Congratulations on 500K G2G !

I hope & pray that I get the chance to share our wikitree family tree w/ my only grandson, he is 8 m.o. :)
You deserve to brag, Dale.  That was great work!  And you've inspired a new generation genealogist, too.
Betty, I would love to take a train to my daughters, but it would take much longer with a several hour layover in DC and cost more.

Dave, I did not even notice my G2G points until you mentioned it.

John, She is home schooled so it is only pass/fail and I hope you can share WikiTree with your Grandson also. FYI I have 8 grandchildren between the ages of 20 to 9, this one is 11.

Finally Star, Thank you, my work on these lines is just starting but I will get there, I hope.
There is nothing wrong with bragging when you achieve something.

As for getting your granddaughter involved, that is fantastic. I am a firm believer that learning about the history of your family, is as important as learning the history of your country.
I love this, Dale!! Brag away! :-)

And I agree with David about family history -- by learning our family history, it makes the rest of history come alive.

By the way, I homeschooled our son and daughter for several years, too. It's one of the best decisions we ever made -- not the right decision for everyone, but it was a great fit for us at the time.

Definitely agree! Way to go Dale!!
There is still a lot to do. As I said a lot of the profiles were already on here and just needed to be connected. The problem is that they all came from a very early GEDCOM import so they are a mess and all need sources, I do like to find and add sources so I don't mind that too much.
