I am new to WikiTree as of 24 March 2016 and I wanted to share this family photo of General Dan Kingman with the community. He is my great-great grandfather and he served as Chief of the Army Corps of Engineers from 1913 to 1916. He graduated from West Point second in his class of 1875, and in 1883 he began the construction of roads and bridges in the new Yellowstone National Park. Kingman Pass on the Grand Loop is named for him. Since joining WikiTree, I have connected to many ancestors and learned much about them due to the efforts of those who have come before me. Thanks to all of you! Click here for the image details page or here for the full-sized version (1537 x 1920).
