Is there a good resource for migration pathways in the US?

Most of my ancestors on my mother's side came from NJ to Western PA  to Licking County, Ohio.  Is there any detailed map source(s) of what the routes taken were in the 18th and 19th centuries?

Travel west in those times was to go to Pittsburg and then down the Ohio river.
