I already created a profile for my notable cousin before I knew there were notables.

I have  notable cousin, but I added her  almost 2 weeks ago, before I knew about notables. Do I need some sort of approval to get her into this category? Also, I have no family photos of my relative, only her dad and some of her brothers. Do I clip a photo from an online source?

I have her grandparents and all of her brothers and sisters, etc, and beyond, done while entering my Vachon line.

I've read a little about notables (and had a bit of a kerfuffle with some folks yesterday) and I'm not sure I want to deal in that area in the future, but I may have to one more time.  One of my great uncles founded Vachon Bakery in Canada (which is kind of like Hostess down here in the states) and I may write his profile down the road.

Natalie, I'm truly sorry you had a bad experience in a Notable area - as a member of the Notables Project, I can assure you that this is definitely not the intention of the project, so hopefully you don't believe that this is the norm. Hopefully we can find a way to help you in the future on another profile so that we can prove that to you. I can honestly say that I've worked on hundreds of Notables and would struggle to recall even one that turned into an issue with the Profile Manager.

It wasn't actually a "bad" experience, but I was frustrated and didn't have all of the facts lined up before I asked a question. A couple of more experienced members simply pointed out a few things and their take on things. I think I had a valid point nonetheless. Right now I have this one "used to be famous" family member to write about, and that might be all. Our society is so enamoured by the famous and infamous, and I like to focus on the bright spots who enrich our lives without so much as a mention in a newspaper. Thank you for your kind words.

Hi Natalie, It would be easier to see that she was notable, if you had a bio and sources. I'm curious about what she's notable for. The main criterion is that the person is already in Wikipedia.org though exceptions are made for the notable, famous or infamous, whom Wikipedia hasn't written about yet.

I'm guessing you already read the project page, but here it is for anyone else who might read this question.

She was a soap opera actress in the 70's and 80's. She was on The Edge of Night, and Another World and I think one more....and nom'ed for 2 Daytime Emmy Awards. (did an episode of Love Boat, too, and that  was the thing that really I was really excited about. Watched it with friends in my apartment in San Diego.) I'm not done with her profile, and will not do the notable thing until I do.

She has a wikipedia page.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharon_Gabet
All you have to do then is add the template at the top, the word Notables inside double curly brackets. {{}}.
Thanks Sandi.
I remember her from the soap opera One Life to Live.
