Growing up my mother told me our family (sutherland) included an ancestor who sailed with James Cook on the Endeavour and was the first european to be buried in Australia

Looking for additional information regarding Forby/ Forbes

I have determined via the Captain Cook website that Forby was born in 1739 in Orkney (maybe Flotta Island)
