How far back can/should you go in picking a best answer?

Question

I know there are a lot questions I've posed that I've never tried to consider if there is an answer which should starred.  How far back is it wise / polite to go in picking a best answer to your question?

I wouldn't hesitate to go back as far as you want. Especially if it's just occurred to you that you can pick a best answer. I went back about six months, with the collaborative profile of the week, when it dawned on my I should be selecting a best answer. It's never too late to be nice.

Thank you.  Since I've only been on WikiTree for a bit short of 4 months, I guess I can go all the way back to my first question.  Which brings up the question of How do I get a list of all my questions?
