My dad's family name is Marion his grandfather is Joseph A. Marion he was born in 1864 and moved to Manitoba in 1881. His information is located on the Historical Society of Manitoba. My mother's side is Metis a mix of Native and French Canadian or Irish? I looking for information about the actual relatives like Zoel Marion who didn't stay in one place for too long and travelled up to the Yukon and worked as a coal stoker.

Do you have more info on the Dumas branch of the family? First names, birth years, geographic locations could help. The Native line, would it be Ojibway?
Daniel Dumas was born in Saint Laurent, Manitoba he married my grand mother Marie Elisabeth Louise Poirier around 1920 in Manitoba. My mother was born in Haywood, Manitoba on December 12th, 1935 she had a lot of brothers and sisters. The farm is still there but it's abandoned since the 1950 and moved to Saint- Boniface. They were very poor. Grand father was very Metis tall and very dark skinned so growing up it was kept quite. My mother's maiden name was Lorraine Dumas she had the most beautiful olive skin colour and a french accent.
