Hi Carol, Welcome to Wikitree. I'm descended from George Soule. There are quite a lot of Mayflower descendants here. Let me refer you to a couple of previous G2G questions.

Did you know that you could join the Mayflower Project?

Who is your Mayflower ancestor?

RE: Mayflower William White

Edward Fuller's sister Susanna married William White in ENG.  If you look at the Compact, you will see the number "5" next to William White's name.  Thus his wife Susanna, Resolved, and another child (?) came from ENG.  We also know Susanna gave birth to Peregrine during the voyage - Peregrine is distinguished as the first English child born in the new world.  Thus when the compact was signed on board William White's family numbered 5

William died early 1621 - one of the many Pilgrims who died that first winter.  Susanna married Edward Winslow May 1621 (Winslow's wife had died March 1621).  Their marriage is designated as the first solemnized in New England.  Winslow was appointed governor of Plymouth Colony (1633) and traveled back to England to represent the Colony and report to the financiers of the Mayflower expedition.   Susanna Fuller-White-Winslow died in 1680.

Hi Carol -

I am in the Mayflower Project. I have studied this family quite extensively. I am a member of the Mayflower Society and am recognized as a descendant of Isaac Allerton, Richard More and William White. I am the author of the Wikipedia articles for William White, his son Resolved (also my ancestor) and rewrote the Wikipedia article for White's youngest son Peregrine.

If there is any help that I can provide for you about the White family please contact me. I am the author of about 70 Wikipedia articles about the Mayflower (and 3 other early ships out to Plymouth), its passengers and many notables in early Plymouth Colony.

I would love to find a Mayflower ancestor on my mother's side......lots of English names such as Marsh,Gorham, Wanton, Holder, Marbury, Hall, Taft, etc.  I'm fascinated by the emails on Susannah White.  I guess the question on her maiden name will never be "resolved".  I'm still not familiar with WikTree.    Carol Young

Hi Carol,

William White's son Resolved is my ancestor, as well. My ancestry runs through his daughter Elizabeth, who married Obadiah Wheeler. His granddaughter Phoebe Wheeler married Jotham Wilder, and his descendant Riley Wilder of Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin, is my father's great-grandfather.
