Sibling/Children numbers

So, this is not a big, big deal ... but, there's always a but!!  There are now numbers for siblings and children ... that's great.  But (told ya), if I go into edit mode and see a list of, say, Siblings nicely numbered and I click on the third sibling and then go into edit mode ... YIKES, they're re-numbered and there's a new number three ... no, no, no ... I'd expect them to be numbered 1, 2, 4, 5, ....

I think it's just supposed to be a count not a numerical order. So if parents had 6 children, each child only had 5 siblings.
It's a numerical order if they're dated right.

It's slightly unfortunate that an order is implied when it isn't known.

That's a beef I have when children are numbered in bios, when the order isn't actually known.
I bullet * children or : them instead of numbering them if I don't know the order.

Hi Bob,

I think you're expecting too much out of this. As RJ notes, birth order would be more useful. But that would be extremely hard to get right, especially since some children may be missing. We did it the easy way.
