Through DNA Testing there is a good chance that I am related to Alexander Brodie and Lilias Hay.They had four children that I can document. For to of those children I only show birth certification. They could be my Ancestors. Does anyone know of Alexander and George Brodie, (1700, 1706) born in  Auldearn, Scotland

Can I ask why you think you are related to Alexander through DNA?

This Alexander is a mystery as to what family he came from. I share the common ancestor, John Hay, with a Mr. Sydney. This John Hay was the father of Lilias Hay who was the wife of the said Alexander. I have not yet found anymore.

If Lilias's father is your ancestor and she married Alexander, doesn't that automatically relate you to him?  Wouldn't you need a descendant of Alexander's to be DNA tested in order to compare markers?
