Citing/Adding a Family History book to WikiTree - where?

I have a family history binder that has been passed on to me.  It includes Family Reunion minutes, family trees, historical recollections, and some newspaper clippings.  Should I add it as a Free Space?  Or just type and add the information to individual profiles.  How would I source it?

Hate that the binder and its wealth of information is just sitting here.

Thanks!

I'd say you should give it a name and then either give a number to each page or break it into sections and give a number to each page in a given section.  If you do the latter, then do make a free page and describe what each section contains.  Ideally you can state whether or not the author of that section was likely to have first-hand knowledge of the people or events described.  In any case try to have a binder or binder section description you can cut and paste into profiles where the information is going. so if anyone wants to cite it later they can have a transcription of the information or know to contact you to get a copy of a page.  If there is lots of information which is unlikely to exist elsewhere, you might want to consider making a copy and give a copy to a nearby historical center which will promise to keep it available.

As for citing, do the best you can to include these elements :

* Author, Title, place published: publisher name (year published), p #: relevant quote.
