Does anyone know of any marriages of Adkins and Meadows in Greenbrier Co., VA 1790 to 1815-

My mystery wrapped in an enigma is that family folklore and genetic testing suggest that my gggrandfather William "Wilson" Adkins was born a Meadows in Greenbrier Co. VA(WV in 1815 or 1816.   Somehow he was adopted or otherwise assumed the name of Adkins.  Folklore also states he went to either KY or TN and then showed up in Boone Co., VA(WV) around 1835-1840.  Does anyone have any data regarding relationships, marriages or otherwise,  between  Meadows and Adkins  in Greenbrier Co.  1780-1815 time frame.

There was some discussion in my family about William Wilson Adkins, being the father of Williaam Henryy Harrison Adkins, B 1848, D.  1904.  But the wives didn't match up with what we have as a vocal history.
