Trying to locate info. re a William Hamilton who migrated to New Zealand in the 1840s.

Question

He was born in Scotland, possibly in the Callendar area in the 1920s.  He married in New Zealand to Merewaipaopao 6 December 1848 in Otaki, near Wellington.

Found the marriage on the BDM Index and appear to have found one child born

1849/1059 Eliza Hamilton - Father William Hamiton-  Mother Waipapa which would appear to be an abbreviation of her name at marriage and the date fits.

Too many William Hamilton's to identify a death for him.

Maybe if you purchased the birth certificate you would get more info.
