I would like to add more to my tree. And I don't want my father private.

Regarding, Privacy levels, they can be set from the Privacy Tab towards the top right of any individual. There are limitations, based on birth date and death date of individuals. Additional information available at:

I'll answer as if you're asking "How do I add more to my tree?" and "How do I make my father's profile public?"

To the latter, easier question about privacy: Click the Privacy tab on his profile. You can select the privacy level from there. If he's living he can' t be entirely public but you can set him as "Private with a Public Biography and Family Tree."
