My grandchild is doing their family heritage and I have half my heritage and now it is important my grandchildren learn about their scots heritage, my biological father surname is Byrce and lived in Dunedin New Zealand.

I am visiting the UK and want to learn as much as I can

The NZ register of Births Marriages and Deaths show nobody with the surname Byrce being born, getting married or dying since 1844.

See https://bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz

Can you verify that it is definitely BYRCE and not BRYCE?
