Seeking parents for John S. Schoonover, born abt 1811, married Deisre Hewitt, lived in Mystic, CT during the mid 1800's

I can find no records prior to 1811 for my family, although Schoonovers have a much older heritage.  If I can find a link to John S. Schoonover's parents, I might be able to connect the remaining dots farther back.  John S. is my great-great grandfather, and was President of Mystic [CT] National Bank in the mid-1800's.

3 brothers opened a grist mill in bushkill ny...relatives of cornelia swartwout schoonhoven who was the daughter of the first sheriff in ulster county.  John s was swartwood?  1 brother went from bushkill pa to conn.  Hope this helps you
