How many profiles are now on WikiTree? How many or what % are unsourced?

Anyone that wants to help with the unsourced profiles, join the Sourcerer's challenge and project.  We have  challenges every month to see who can source the most unsourced profiles. it's fun!
I came across an estimate of 80% unsourced in a 2014-15 thread.

I do not think that an accurate count could be made. I just adopted about 1000 profiles that are related to a family member and none of them had any biography or source information in them, they were not placed in the Unsourced category either. I have to say that I will not be adding most of them to that category either because I always try to find a least one source before adding that category label to any profile, but it is going to take quite a bit of time to work with these not to mention others I discover along the way. These profiles were created in 2011 long before the current GEDCOM process was in place and it is not the first that I have found so the number could be quite large for unsourced profiles that are not marked unsourced. All I can say is that the number of unsourced profiles decreases every day due to not only my work but also the work of many others who are trying to fix this problem.

There are now 11,066,035 profiles on Wikitree. The information is on the home page. http://www.wikitree.com/  But Dale has it right about there is no way of knowing accurately how many are unsourced.  A whole lot.

I expect it would be useful for a few people to do a random check somehow or other to see what % of profiles don't have a real source.  Though what criteria would be valid undoubtedly would vary considerably from person to person.  Obviously "Personal Knowledge of a person from 200 years ago shouldn't count, but how about a mention of a relative in an old letter from your aunt Gladys?  Is knowing Fred Barnes was alive on 20 Nov 1943 something of interest (unless other records state he died in 1941)?
Dave,to check for unsourced you would have to look at every profile and by the time you were done the count would no longer be accurate because some are adding profiles all the time and others are adding sources. My way would count the personal knowledge as a source every time, it may be a poor source but it is more than most of the profiles I am working with have.

This doesn't give you a number but gives a hint to how many as each page holds a maximum of 200 profiles

Frankly too many unsourced entries. More the worry are the new profiles that are entered, significantly marked "unsourced profile".

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what percentage are adequately sourced - ie, sourced with reasonably reliable sources? I'm guessing 10% tops.
