OK, I've got it working -- but what does finding a match accomplish??

FamilySearch doesn't seem to have much info except dates and places.

Well, it does seem of minimal value at first -- kind of static. When you make the link, it adds a connection from the WikiTree side back to the FS info. This could reveal clues. Active WikiTreers probably go straight to FamilySearch to do their looking.
