In my work on the Puerto Rican Roots project, I've started to think about notable folks with Puerto Rican connections.
My strong reaction to the artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat is a bit of a running joke in my family. He certainly was a prominent figure in the hip-hop and street art movements, and was notable for his collaboration with Andy Warhol in the mid-eighties.
I've added a few dozen of his mother's relatives, but haven't found a connection to our global tree. Would you like to help?
