Need to locate biological dad

I was adopted in 1974; in 1998 my birth mother located me so now I am looking for my biological father. She tells me he doesn't want anything to do with me but I would like to find out myself. Anthony S Tramontana is his name and he was in the US Army when I was born (1968) in Fort Gordon, Ga. What is the best way to go about locating him? I know his name, and his brother's name.

Thank you for such a prompt response. NY/NJ is the last known location that I had for him.

You could also try the facebook group: You Know You're Adopted When (I'm one of the very few birth parents they allow on there. It's primarily for adoptees). They're very supportive.

If you know where he was stationed, maybe there's a veterans or ex servicemen association nearby there? Also, you could try the branch of the Salvation Army nearest to where he was stationed. They've been known to help sometimes.

Good luck!
