I have 7 William Pages in my tree, but none were born in 1815 and none have the middle name of Nicholas.  Sorry.
Thanks Page for trying. I have been working on this one for about 30 years, and a cousin worked on it for 20 years before me. I may never know the answer.

John, I did a little more digging and here's what I came up with:

William Nicholas Page: b.16 Oct 1815, Granger Co. TN; d. 19 Aug 1847, Hardin, Ill.
Married, 5 Nov 1840 to Elizabeth Melvina Patton: b. 1818, d. 1901.
Father: Archiller Page, b. 1780 in Virginia; d. ??
Mother: Elizabeth "Betsy" Shoapman, b. 1783 in Maryland; d. ??

William and Elizabeth had three children: 1. John Jacob b. 23 Apr 1843, in Hardin, Ill.; 2. Elizabeth Ann, b. 12 Jan 1845 in Gallatin, Ill.; and 3. William Robert, b. 21 Oct 1846, in Cave-In-Rock, Ill.

I found this info doing a search on Ancestry.com.  Hope it helps.

I was told my a lady some 30 years age that her Grandfather (John Jacob Page) told her that Archiller Page was not his Grandfather. Also I have a newspaper clipping stating that John Jacob Page was on his way to a Civil War meeting in Louisville,Ky. & that his Grandfather Fought in the War of 1812 under General Andrew Jackson, and that he mustered in, in Russellville, Ky. The Archiller Page does make since, because his wife Elizabeth Shoapman's father was Nicholas Shoapamn. Thanks again.
Archiller's first name may have been Mordecai.  I found a Mordecai A. Page as well.  Have you tried Fold3 to look up the military aspect?
Where did you get the Mordecia from? Yes I have looked at Fold3, problem  is,I don't know what his name was. That is William Nicholas Page's Father. I visited Russellville Kentucky years ago. There were a few Page's living there during the war of 1812. The ones I thought might be his father were all accounted  for. Thanks again

I got Mordecai from Ancestry.com in other people's trees.  Do you have access to Ancestry.com?  I find LOTS of stuff there.  As for Fold3, I looked up John Page, and clicked on War of 1812.  Got tons of John Pages... the problem is to figure out which one (if any) is right.  Lots of reading involved.  LOL

Yes I do have access to Ancestry. Some of the info on ancestry is from work I did years ago and people copied. I can tell just by the way I had to find the info.

Did not find his parents, but it looks like he was born in TN.

Thanks, The Grainger Co.,Tn. comes from Archilles Page who was living in Gallatin Co.,Il. about the same time. A son of William N. Page said that they were not related. This was told to a little girl as she remembered it & told to me by her. So I don't know what to think.
