Is their a way to reactivate my deleted account?

Question

I deleted my account, don't remember when. I emailed info@wikitree and Erin tells me to create a new account. Is their any way I might be able to reactivate my account with the same email address?  Also, my deleted WikiTree account still has my name attached to it. If I did create another account then wouldn't I have two WikiTree accounts with my name on them?

If you got someone to add your email address to your old account, inviting you to WikiTree, that ought to do it.

You can maybe merge the old account with the new account.....

Hey Anon,

If your account was indeed Deleted (Closed) you can always sign-up again. The only issue might be your email - if the system sees your email and recognizes it as one that is "in" the system.

So just got to WikiTree.com and click "Join the Family" and follow the regular steps to become a volunteer in our great big ole shared tree.

So Mags, if the person's profile already exists, and their email was deleted to close their account, why can't their email be added back to their existing profile, instead of creating a new duplicate profile, merging, et cetera?

My understanding is that if your close your account your profile is no longer on WikiTree, therefore there would be no profile to post a new email to.
