Is Aaron Cook (Mary Ford) the father of Nathaniel Cook (Lydia Vore)?

Hi, I am looking for confirmation whether Aaron Cook (Mary Ford) was the father of the Nathaniel Cook  (Lydia Vore).  The closest I have gotten to a confirmation is in The Ancestry of Jesse Cook and His Descendants. Is says that some writers believe that Nathaniel Cook was a son of Aaron's born in England. I have noticed that most places put Nathaniel as Aaron's son, but again most lists of Aaron's children do not include a Nathaniel.  And, more importantly, if the years were correct, Aaron (1610 estimate) would only have been 15 or 16 if he was Nathaniel's (1625 estimate) father.  https://books.google.com/books?id=1mNHAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA10&lpg=PA10&dq=the+history+of+jesse+cook+and+his+descendants&source=bl&ots=BJpGxTTzV4&sig=QWIiRqMKWlGf2hvXNbCeaDdzCfQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiIo571543MAhUJ4mMKHUTAAYAQ6AEIHDAA#v=onepage&q=the%20history%20of%20jesse%20cook%20and%20his%20descendants&f=false

Rosie,

In Anderson's Great Migration Begins profile of Aaron (p 467) , he agrees with you: "Pope also gives Aaron an oldest child Nathaniel, but Nathaniel Cooke of Windsor married in 1649, which would make him too old to be a son of Aaron.)"

What's the Mary Ford reference? Nathaniel was married to Lidia Vore.

In adding details to this profile (based on the research I did to answer this question), I found a duplicate (with the correct spelling Cooke-- which appears most often on contemporary records) and proposed a merge.

Hi Rosie,

I have just posted a comment in Nathaniel Cooke's profile about genetic evidence that he is not related to Aaron Cooke at all.  They are in completely different Haplogroups (here's the comment):

There is now genetic evidence that Nathaniel Cooke was not related to Aaron Cooke. Aaron is in Haplogroup I1, and Nathaniel is in Haplogroup R1b.

I also found out that the "Big Tree" has one of our Cookes (Kit No. 297627) and narrows down Nathaniel's haplogroup to R-FGC18229, a subclade of R-FGC13899, etc.
