Susan is my 2nd great grandmother and she died young in 1872 and is buried alone in the Pine Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pennsylvania. She married my 2nd great grandfather Benjamin Heffelfinger (1834-1911) and I am wanting to have some confirmation of her parents being Ludwick (Luke) Betz & Catharine Newman. Also is she a sister to Henry D Betz 1832-1916. This Betz surname is coming up on a number of my Ancestry DNA matches but none of those matches have Susan on their tree. So our DNA match must go further back.

The DNA test through Ancestry has worked very well for me as a female. I was told a few years back that I would be wasting my time because it would only bring up the female side of my family tree and not give me any of the information from my dad's side, but it has given me matches on both my mother and father's side and down both of their parents lines, and matches me with both women and men. So it is definitely not a waste of time and can be very helpful.

Actually I am finding evidence from other genealogists that this Susan Betz daughter of Ludwick Betz is married to an Alexander and living in Iowa on the 1880 census. My Susan Betz married my 2nd great grandfather Benjamin Heffelfinger and lived and died in Pennsylvania. I am thinking that she is on the other 1850 census reports living with the Michael and Mary Moore family as a 16-year-old in Millcreek, Lebanon County, PA. Unfortunately if this is her living with the Moore family I am back to square one again with not having any idea who her parents were. That is why I was asking for some help.
