Multiple Category Confusion

+10 votes

I would very much like suggestions and guidance regarding categorisation of a particular profile, from the family I am currently working on.

I have him in the 'Victoria Cross' category, as he was awarded 2 VC's. BUT.... Do I also add the following categories...

Doctor...  He was a qualified doctor and surgeon in the British Army.

Military/British Army...  He served in the British Army

Boer War...  He was awarded his first VC during the Boer War

GreatWar(WW1)... He was awarded his second VC during the First World War

Notable...  as a double VC winner, he is a notable on Wikipedia.

Would adding these other categories, mess up the profile with multiple templates. I am not sure how best to do this.

Ideas, Help, Suggestions please.

Yes, add as many categories as are relevant.  There could also be a region category for where he lived and a cemetery category for where he is buried. Definitely add {{Notable}}

Hi David

A very impressive officer.  He was a member of the Royal Army Medical Corps.  There is a good bio on him at the RAMC site:

There are a large number of Categories which he could be placed into.  We can build out the bio together and work through the categories.  I've dropped you a separate note
