If I ask a fellow member a question where do I see a response, if they do respond?

It depends.... in most cases you should see a response in your e-mail (either directly from the person, or sent by Wikitree).

Some times people reply in unexpected ways (for example posting a comment to their own profile as a response to your comment) and these you won't get notice of.
