Adam Sluchocki came in 1882 or 1883. I ran across a site that gave a passenger number for him but wouldn't give me a ship or exact date. He married in Rochester N.Y. in 1886, so he was here then. I have run across an interesting fact. In 1904 a son, Peter Sluchocki, died in Split Rock, Carlton County, Mn.  He is buried at St. Josephs Cemetery there. It's a very small community by Kettle River. There is a Stanislaw Suchocki born in 1858, died 1904 & several other Suchockis also buried there. I have a total block trying to get anything on that Suchocki. It's like they came from nowhere & ended in that cemetery in a short period of time. My Adam was born in 1868 & his family ended up in Duluth, Mn. But I'm sure wondering if that Suchocki family was related & how to go about finding out.

Comments

Peter Sluchocki, son of Adam & Ida Sluchocki,  died from a gun  shot wound in 1904,  and was buried with his uncle's family. The accident happened at the uncle's home in Split Rock Twp. (Kettle River) Mn. The rest of the family members in this cemetery are Stanislaw Suchocki (Sluchocki),(brother of Adam)  his wife, Mary,  & most of their children.
