Hi All! :)

I m searching on an unconnected profile, Gedcom-uploaded, lived at Goedereede, Zuid-Holland, Nederland. [http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Den_Herder-12] (who s last name should be at least "den" Herder, but I think it might be "den Harder" more likely or even just "Harder").  for sources, Trying to find info about his First Spouse: Clara Jacobs.

As the internet is making a connection at his first mariage to a Clara Kievit (said to be baptized 1660-10-10, but that s a Cornelia Kievit not fitting and mixed up as I see her married to another. And I can t find anything on Clara. Nor the marriage note at church). So I went for finding children of Passchier Hendriks and Clara Jacobs baptisms. Found one.

Just can't make much out of the baptism date. Asking for your expierence and assistance please. Netherlands, Zuid-Holland...Church Records, 1076-1916 Nederlands Hervormde Goedereede Dopen 1658-1812 Trouwen 1...718, 1736-1795, 1666-1795 Image 16 of 216 [https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9QJ-ZLBY?i=15&wc=SMM2-6TT%3A1292923701%2C346768401%2C347577702%3Fcc%3D2037907&cc=2037907] Left page, 6th from top, the one above the 23rd of April. "'t kind van ........ (Passchier denk ik!) Hendikse en Clara Jacobs genaamd Hendrik. Getuigen Jannetje Hendriks.

Any suggestions on the date?

Thank you all!

Haven;t figured out what the word is, but if you look at other records it appears to always be used before 'dito' and without a number (the clearest example would be the right page where the second entry is 13 dito, and the following two entries start with "de [whatever the word is] dito") - my inference is that it is essentially saying "dito dito" or "same day of the same month"

My reading of the record preceding is 18 Febr[uari] with 1685 written in the margin and the record preceding that appears to give the year as 1684 so my guess is 18 Feb 1685.

Also Feb 1685 would agree with the info given on this webpage which also gives:

1. Hendrik den Harder, ged. Goedereede 02-1685, get. Jannetje Hendriks
2. Neeltje den Harder, ged. Goedereede 05-12-1688
uit 2:
3. Ariaantje den Harder, ged. Goedereede 16-12-1696, get. Ariaentje Weytens ===> H-3
4. Leendert den Harder, ged. Goedereede 17-01-1700, get. Ariaentje Cornelis ===> VI-H
5. Cornelis den Harder, ged. Goedereede 27-05-1703, get. Ariaantje Cornelis ===> VI-I
6. Hendrick den Harder, ged. Goedereede 04-02-1705, get. Petronella Arends
7. Jannetje den Harder, ged. Goedereede 03-10-1706, get. Ariaantje Teunis Voogd

Thank you Rob! :)  I think it says des/r s/zelvde (means same as dito), then dito 't kind etc. Ok. 18 febuari 1685 it is! :)

Yes Rob, I use that webpage as a lead. But there are some mistakes in the info there and of course there is a lot right info too.

But some about the Clara Kievit ain t right. Trying to puzzle that out.

Thank you lots Rob. That helped!

Groetjes weer van uit Nederland,

Selvde is definitely similar to my attempt at letter by letter translation where I had: [s/f] - [e/o] - l - [v/u] - e
Together we re STRONG! :)

Again thank you Rob. Going slowly forward on this family :)
