And he's got the birthdate of his alleged father. Admittedly this is carved in stone. Which burial ground has the spurious gravestone?
The alleged father seems to have acquired his alleged son's military rank.
So far as I can tell, the DoB is Old Style, ie 1574/5, but the DoD is New Style, ie 1670/1.
And how come Edmund Greenleaf of Massachusetts and Robert Greenleaf of Virginia were both supposed to have married Sarah Dole?
