So how come two burial places?  I thought they'd stopped doing that by then.

The immigrant's profile seems to have had unsourced parents reattached.

And he's got the birthdate of his alleged father.  Admittedly this is carved in stone.  Which burial ground has the spurious gravestone?

The alleged father seems to have acquired his alleged son's military rank.

So far as I can tell, the DoB is Old Style, ie 1574/5, but the DoD is New Style, ie 1670/1.

And how come Edmund Greenleaf of Massachusetts and Robert Greenleaf of Virginia were both supposed to have married Sarah Dole?

What a mess.  Except for one section it's all unsourced.  Greenleaf should have a PGM profile by Anderson. Has anyone looked?

New here so apologies if this is inappropriate. I have come across this: https://books.google.com/books/about/Genealogy_of_the_Greenleaf_Family.html?id=x3hPAAAAMAAJ which is a wealth of info. The book seems thoroughly researched and well documented... Hope this helps...
