I maintain a website (https://competitivestrategies.us/) dedicated to the discussion of Brinsley Barnes (Barnes-1145) and his spouse Elizabeth Lindley and their descendants. I have for lack of a better term created ancestral specialist. There will be one for each child of the union and one for Elizabeth herself. While there is some controversy as to whether Lindley-113 is a child of James and Eleanor Parke Lindley, there is little doubt and an abundant amount of documentation that an Elizabeth Barnes was the spouse of Brinsley and most probably a Lindley.
I seek a person to assume these responsibilities. I prefer someone who has been DNA tested, not to prove lineage to Elizabeth, but because I have found them to be more ardent researchers. The final product will be an in-depth article/blog for the website and a significant update to the Wikitree profile that is assumed to be the spouse of Brinsley (Lindley-113). I will want to keep you on board to answer infrequent questions about Elizabeth and if you can answer questions about the Society of Friends, so much the better. Elizabeth was a colorful character. According to Warren E. “Mick,” Barnes was once disowned from the Society for drinking hard liquor. I want to document this and anything else in records. This is purely volunteer work. Background can widely vary. The key is a good researcher. To see what other types of people filling similar roles, review bios at
