Having a hard time connecting unconnected people

Last week I noticed a comment about checking to see if you have unconnected people, so I checked and found I had 5 such people. I was able to connect one, but the others were the result of another person connecting an incorrect line to one of my lines. Then when I asked to be added to the trusted list, i am now responsible for connecting them to the bigger Wikitree. I started working on to methodically last week, but two problems occurred.

1. I am not on the trusted list of some of the other people in this line so I can't make corrections and carry out the line to see if there are possible connections. I've asked to be added but it hasn't happened yet.

2. As I add more people I have now gone from 5 unconnected people to 18 unconnected people!

I am enjoying working on this family even if they are not directly related to me, but I need added to the trusted list of the the ones on Mary Jane's page that have the surname spelled incorrectly as McGlaughin. I would also like to know if I'm doing this process correctly?

Thanks,

Nikki

You will need to wait for a reply from the profile(s) manager(s) and if they do not respond in a few days contact the Wiki team. Unresponsive Profile Managers, Profile Managers who can't be contacted http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unresponsive_Profile_Managers

Thank you David for your response. Yes I am aware of the rules and procedures for unresponsive profile managers. I tend to be a bit impatient when I am working on something and want to complete it, but have to wait for someone to respond to an email. It gets frustrating and the idea of waiting a month is incomprehensible to me. By that time, I will have moved on to another part of my family tree and have forgotten about it.

The other part of my question has not been addressed yet. And that is, it would seem that my attempt to clean up the "unconnected" people in my list has really made things worse. Is this the way it works for others? Does this go on until I find someone that has already been added to Wikitree? This could take a very long time and I have other people I want to work on in my own family.
