G2G: Are we pushing DNA tests?

So I got an email stating that someone left a comment on not only my profile but also on my biological father's profile. The message on mine stated "DNA ancestry only through maternal line" while the message on my father's stated "No DNA decendency from this man on the tree".

I am not sure exactly what this means but if it is to imply that there is no proof that he is my father, I can guarantee there is proof such as divorce records, adoption records, and the fact that my mom was there and remembers who helped her to conceive me. The story of my adoption is in my father's profile as well as the dates of such things are on my profile, this also includes what my name was at birth until it was legally changed at the time of the adoption.

Not only did I happen to take these comments probably in the wrong way but, so did my mother. So I am curious as to what this means, why it was posted to mine and my father's profile in the comments section, and are we trying to push DNA testing. Cause if we are, then I might as well bow out now. Not everyone has a hundred dollars or more to spend on a DNA test when there are other important things to pay for. I know who my parents are and do not feel that I need to upload a copy of my adoption records.

 * My mother deleted the comments because of how badly they upset me. But I do have the copies in my email.

Hi Dodie,

WikiTree is definitely not pushing people to try and get them to take DNA tests. I'm sorry someone left comments that upset you.  They weren't speaking on behalf of WikiTree though.  You might want to contact them directly and ask them why they felt they needed to leave those comments.
