Do you know what county and or city of his birth in SC?

I googled John Hamilton born 1801 and it took me to Ancestry.com that shows John G. Hamilton born in S. Carolina in 1801 married to Mary Ann Duley is the son of John Hamilton and Martha.  John Hamilton was born in 1760 in Spartansburg, S. Carolina and passed away in November 1833.  Is this your two John Hamilton's?

I don't think this is the Hamilton in my line. Thank you Diane for your response. My John Hamilton settled in Rabun Co. Ga. But I haven't been able to go further as to his father.
