Native American/Tennessee History - New Free Space Profile- looking for parent project

Question

Hi everyone!  I've started a free space profile for an event in my family's history: The Massacre at Cavett's Station.  Cavett's Station was the homestead of the Alexander Cavett (my 6x great uncle) Family in 1793, located near Knoxville, TN. On September 25, 1793, a band of Cherokee and Creek warriors surrounded the homestead; they gained entry and massacred all 13 family members present.  I'd like to add this to a project - if anyone has a Native Americans or Tennessee History project and would like to have this under it, please let me know!

Summer, there is a Native Americans project, which has templates and categories for Cherokee and Creek topics.

I'm not aware of any projects that would cover Tennessee in 1793.

For future reference, to search for projects, look under the "Find" tab and select "Projects."

Thanks Ellen! I did look there, but I've found many places it could fit. That's why I need help, or someone who wants to put it under their project. I can't decide where it might fit best, and don't want to step on anyone's toes by making assumptions. So, I posted to see if anyone would be interested in picking it up! :)

I removed the brand-new Best Answer star from my answer because this thread is old and the information is out of date. The Tennessee Project now exists (Summer Orman is Project Coordinator). And the Native Americans Project also exists and is a candidate to participate.

Hi Summer,

Getting your project properly categorized is the key. For now, add Category:Tennessee Projects and Category:Native American Tribes of Tennessee to your project page. The United States Disasters category also has a couple massacres listed.
